Title :: interesting site

Pertaining docs ::

Comments :: I've been reading your posts and also some of the letters. There is sure no shortage of cons and thieves posing as businesses. I recognize a few of the rip-off creeps like Bank of America, Discover, and I'm sure ALL cell phone companies are rip-offs. Ofcourse no one knows squat, can't speak English, put you on hold for three days, steal your money, and worse. Oh, for the person who had such hell with Discover card--this could be just the beginning because they sell to money-vultures who operate outside of the law. Get ready to sue. Bye

Business in question :: Registerfly

They sent me a email to renew a domain that I never purchased through them. I thought it was one of my domains so I paid for it. When I realized it was never even mine in the first place they would not do anything. I transfered my domains to ezdomainname.com and have been happy since. aslso the domain was added by registerfly as a promotion but I never even wanted the domain for free yet to pay for it.

Business in question :: Charter-Communications

Complaint :: Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I refuse to pay the TV-bill for the PPV.

The reasons are:
1. my wife called and told your customer service to block all PPV after we got the first one a couple weeks ago. So how could somebody still order PPV?
2. Nobody in our house watched 2 adult movies on the same day at 7am. I leaving for work at this time and my wife doesn’t watch these movies. My children are 4years, 3 years and 11 months old. They usually sleep at 7am and normally the remote is on top of the TV out of reach. If somebody wants to watch adult movies at 7am who would order 2 movies at the same time and switch back and forth?

If you send me a correct bill for the normal charges I will be happy to pay this bill.
Otherwise I refuse to pay this bill.
I and my wife will take every oath and lie-detector test that nobody in our house watched any of the PPV movies.
If you check my previous recors with you, you will notice that when I ordered PPV I payed for them without hesitation.
However since you stared charging PPV that we did not order, I started disputing your charges.
We would love to have basic cable-service from you, however we do not pay for charges that we did not order.
Maybe the remote is defect or somebody else ordered the PPV’s.
WE DID NOT and therefore do not pay for it.

Waiting for your reply

BTW: I was very angry when your “customer-service” suggested that maybe my neighbor broke into my house to watch “porn” or that either I or my wife get up at 7am to watch simultaneously 2 porn-shows. I do not know where you find your customer-service personal but this is obscene.

RE: Our Experience with your customer-service (by phone)

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

several months ago, in February, my wife called US-Bank and said, that her creditcards (total of 3) were stolen und used by XXXXXX.
We wanted an account statement from you showing where the cards were used and what amounts.
We were told on the phone that it would take 2-3 months for you to send us such statements.
After not receiving any mail just remainders, we called again.
Then we were told, that there was no record of us requesting any statements and that it would take about 4-6 weeks to receive the statements.
5 Weeks later we called again. Guess what, No record of us requesting any statements and therefore none were printed nor mailed.
Furthermore we were told by one of your employees, that the card wasn’t marked as “stolen” in your computer but rather as “lost”, as XXXXXXX took the card and used it.
Your customer-service person didn’t consider “stealing” by XXXXXX as theft rather then our fault.
I am very happy to know that your associates can make such decision by themselves.
The police thinks rather differently.

In order to now get these statements we (I was listening to the complete conversation) were asked to make a late-payment of $130. I agreed that my wife gave your customer-service my account# and take this amount out of my account.
What a surprise the next month, when another $132 were taken out of my account by your bank without any approval by me or my wife.
Now for the last weeks I have been trying to get my money ($132) back.
You had absolutely no authorization to take this money out of my account. This is fraud on your side

We were told, that XXXXXX, contacted you about the stolen credit-card.
Now, my wife and I made several payments to you for this account because if the neglect and failure of your customer-service. This money I would really like to get back.

For the future, maybe you should put a picture on your credit-cards and ask the stores to check ID on all signature specially the ones that are several hundred $.
The stores request a driver-license with every check but nothing with a credit-card.
That’s just ridiculous. If the banks request the stores to check ID, then nothing like this would happen.

Business in question :: HotMovieSale.com

Complaint :: It appealed to me that they offered free shipping. When you order from them, they charge you 10$ for some subscription. And of course that was mentioned in very fine print in user agreement section. But hey! At least they mentioned it. I ordered my movie and it took 2,5 weeks and 3 phone calls for them to ship it!
I then went ahead and cancelled that subscription via a phone. They were supposed to send me a confirmation right away. Never got it. I won't be surprised if my credit card will still be charged. Learn from my mistake!
